Our people were buried like nobody in massive graves, like trash, no dignity from the living. Some agreed with the process of no record keeping and others refused to accept the lack of respect for the dead.

The saddest part of all, are the voices under the rubble and the powerless above the rubble, the limbless and the parentless, the childless and the widow, the homeless and the unnourished. There is no system in place to support the living or the dead. we must take responsibility to build Haiti as our forefathers were hoping to build.

We must create a Memorial park to register the name of our heroes who were falling on the 12th of January 2010 during “the silent war of life.” we must create a Memorial park and National Cemetery for our forefathers of the independent, and Memorial Parks for all the dead of the Duvalier regime and during the medieval period in the post Duvalier Regime periods. We must respect our dead, in order to make sense of the living.

Now, to the falling Haitian soldiers of January 12th, I bow down my head to salute you for your silent war you were waging courageously. I pray God for your peace, for the Lord to keep you as His own, and receive you in His kingdom. You should never look back into this world. The living may meet with you according to their choices in life. May your souls rest in peace!

Amen!
